TransZol利用异硫氰酸胍裂解细胞。在样品的裂解过程中，TransZol可保持RNA完整性，加入RNA Extraction Agent后，溶液分为无色水相和粉红色有机相，RNA在水相，用异丙醇可沉淀回收RNA，有机相用异丙醇可回收蛋白质。适用于快速提取多种组织和细胞中的总RNA。
