Bradford 蛋白定量方法，原理是在酸性条件下，考马斯亮蓝G-250 和蛋白质结合产生特殊的蓝色，最大吸收波长在595 nm 处，颜色反应可在5-10 分钟内完成，20 分钟内最稳定，测定效果最好。因此可通过比色分析在几分钟内快速测定蛋白质含量。与其它蛋白定量方法（如Lowry 法）相比，该方法测定蛋白浓度不受样品中化学物质的影响。
