Roswell Park Memorial Institute (RPMI) 1640 Medium 适用于培养多种哺乳动物细胞，如HeLa，Jurkat，MCF-7，PC-12，人白血病细胞，外周血单核细胞，星形胶质细胞和癌细胞等。
本产品含有酚红、碳酸氢钠、 L- 丙氨酰-L- 谷氨酰胺和HEPES。其中L-丙氨酰-L- 谷氨酰胺在水溶液中稳定性高，不易形成有害的氨，是L- 谷氨酰胺的稳定替代物。
